Who is Volkswagen Financial Services Australia?

Established in Germany in 1949, Volkswagen Financial Services AG (VWFSAG) has a proven track record of promoting the products and sales of Volkswagen Group. The Volkswagen Group’s automotive family brands include: Volkswagen, Audi, Bentley and Lamborghini (Australia) as well as Skoda, Seat, and Bugatti (Internationally). Worldwide, VWFSAG finances approximately 1 in 3 Volkswagen Group vehicles.

Locally, Volkswagen Financial Services Australia Pty Limited (VWFS) began operations in March 2002. VWFS rapidly became a significant player in the Australian Automotive Finance market. Highlights of the performance of VWFS in the Australian marketplace include:

  • 10,000th retail finance contract written in June 2004, just over 2 years since inception.
  • Establishment of Volkswagen Insurance with renewal rates of 95%
  • Consolidation of Volkswagen Financial Services into the Volkswagen Group
